There’re normally three ways to trace any number:

You can hire a private detective. This is an effective method, but it is obsolete nowadays. First, you need to find someone trustworthy. Then you have to pay their share and ultimately you have to wait at least a couple of days to hear reports of it.

You can try to find the number of freely usable directories and listings. This is a great way to start any search, and if you’re lucky, the number you are looking for is a line on public land and you get what you want faster than hiring a researcher.

You can go online and search for yourself. This is by far the simplest and most effective way to do it. You can literally get a full report is downloaded to your computer or printed in 5 minutes. There are many services available, but the best will charge a small fee, I’m talking about coffee and pastries fee, but the results are impressive and you can get information about the list, or unlisted cell phone numbers.

You get the full name and address, type of phone support, information and background data. Do not pay anything without at least see a small preview. Any reputable service allows you to see something before it is asked to pay anything. Run away if asked to pay before seeing at least a brief summary.
